📘 Keon WiFi Partner Integration & WiFi Setup Guide

For VR & Interactive Content Platforms

🧭 Overview: How Keon WiFi Works

Keon WiFi enables users to control their device through supported VR content sites, web platforms, and third-party apps—without the need for Bluetooth or the FeelConnect app once setup is complete.

There are two main connection modes:

Use Case

Mode

Notes

Use FeelConnect app features

Bluetooth

Full access to app controls, content, Interact, and mobile VR

Use with mobile phone-based VR

Bluetooth

WiFi not supported

Use with standalone VR headsets

WiFi

Partner site must support Keon WiFi SDK

Use with FeelMe AI

WiFi

SDK-supported; app optional

❗ WiFi mode is not compatible with phone-based VR headsets.

🌐 Intended WiFi User Flow

WiFi mode is designed for use with:

·      Standalone VR headsets (e.g., Oculus Quest)

·      Web-based partner platforms such as FeelMe AI or SLR

Once set up, Keon connects directly to the internet via WiFi and is controllable through the partner site.

🧠 Partner Integration Recommendation

We strongly recommend that partners:

·      Do not implement full WiFi provisioning (SSID/password entry) in their own platform

·      Instead, provide a field for users to enter their connection key and use the SDK to establish control

This approach offers:

·      Simplified onboarding for users

·      Fewer support tickets

·      Centralized, secure provisioning handled by FeelConnect or FeelMe AI

·      Seamless cross-platform experience with the same connection key

Provisioning via the SDK is still possible if desired, but using the connection key entry method is preferred.

🔑 What Is the Connection Key?

·      A unique identifier for a Keon WiFi device.

·      Created during provisioning in:

o   FeelConnect app, or

o   FeelMe AI platform (optional)

·      Enables partner platforms to control the device over WiFi.

·      The same key should be used across all platforms to avoid reconfiguration.

If a user loses their key:

·      They must create a new one via FeelConnect or FeelMe AI.

·      The new key must be updated in all connected platforms.

📶 How Users Set Up Keon WiFi

Option 1: Setup via FeelConnect

1.        Download FeelConnect (iOS/Android)

2.        Connect Keon via Bluetooth

3.        Go to Device Settings → tap "Login to use over WiFi"

4.        Log in or create a FeelConnect account (security requirement)

5.        Choose:

a.        Yes → Enter existing connection key

b.        No → Enter WiFi SSID/password to create a new key

6.        Copy and save the connection key (required for partner sites)

Ensure proper token handling using partner tokens + user ID as outlined in SDK docs.

Unlocking WiFi Testing in FeelConnect (Before Official Launch)

1.        Connect Keon via Bluetooth in FeelConnect

2.        Tap the device name to open details

3.        Tap firmware version 10 times

4.        Extra WiFi provisioning/testing buttons will appear

🧪 For internal and partner testing only

🧠 Key Points for Partner Developers

·      Prefer connection key entry over provisioning for smooth UX

·      Auto-use connection key after WiFi provisioning to mark device as “connected” in UI

·      Show live device status (battery, connection state) once linked

·      Enable immediate playback without requiring a refresh/reconnect
